THE OPPORTUNITY

We are working with a leading Canadian residential property management and development organization that is focused on building and operating high-quality rental communities across the country.
This is an opportunity to join a well-supported, high-performing site team where you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional resident experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of a modern residential community.
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager to support leasing activity, resident relations, financial administration, and maintenance coordination. You will contribute directly to occupancy, retention, and overall community satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Property Manager with daily residential property operations and administrative functions
  • Act as a primary point of contact for residents, responding to inquiries, concerns, and service requests professionally and promptly
  • Assist with leasing activities including inquiries, property tours, application processing, and lease documentation
  • Support rent collection processes, arrears follow-up, and lease renewals
  • Maintain accurate resident files, lease records, and documentation in compliance with company standards and tenancy legislation
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, track work orders, and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to support smooth site operations
  • Ensure suites, amenities, and common areas are consistently well maintained and presentation-ready
  • Support inspections, move-ins, and move-outs
  • Contribute to resident engagement and community-building initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with the BC Residential Tenancy Act, OH&S standards, and internal policies

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in residential property management, leasing, or property administration
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a resident-first mindset
  • Solid understanding of leasing processes, rent collection, and tenant relations
  • Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with property management systems (Yardi, SuiteSpot, or similar) an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
