Architectural Technologist

The Architectural Technologist will collaborate with Project Managers and clients on industrial design projects, applying technical expertise and a client-focused approach to deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering drawings using 2D/3D drafting and modeling software.
  • Develop equipment and material lists for industrial construction and renovation projects.
  • Ensure designs meet client needs, building codes, by-laws, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and document existing conditions.
  • Provide contract administration support and generate CAD/REVIT content.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT, with a portfolio of REVIT projects.
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Skilled in architectural drawing production and engineering principles.
  • Must have transportation and willingness to travel.
Education and Experience:
  • Diploma/degree in Architectural Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer-aided drafting, with a focus on architectural engineering.
  • Certification or progress toward certification with a professional association (e.g., OACETT, AATO).
  • Experience in consumables; Agri-food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
Additional Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and train others, with a professional approach to client interactions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and travel within Ontario as required.
