Architectural Business Development Manager (National Sales) 
Candidates must reside in: Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Chicago, or Atlanta (or surrounding area) 
Base salary + growth bonus + distribution bonus + direct sales bonus + car allowance + benefits/perks + 401K contribution 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturer in the building materials industry. Already distributing through all of the biggest distributors nationwide, this unique, premium manufacturer of external siding and soffit products is making a big splash across North America as they prove that innovative, quality, and premium exterior building products are in high demand.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Architectural Sales and Specification Manager to join our clients growing team. This role focuses on building strong relationships with architects, builders, developers, and designers across the US. You will drive product specifications, deliver compelling presentations, and provide technical expertise to ensure our clients products are selected for key projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with our clients sales team to maximize market penetration, create strategic initiatives, and support the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Creating and Delivering Presentations:
    • Develop tailored and engaging PowerPoint presentations showcasing our clients products, services, and solutions for architects, builders, and developers.
    • Effectively communicate the value propositions of our clients  offerings, addressing the unique challenges of our clients target audience.
    • Attend design community events such as BOND, IBS, and similar conferences to promote our clients brand and build relationships.
    • Create and present AIA-accredited courses to architecture firms across North America.
  2. Building and Maintaining Relationships:
    • Connect with architects, builders, developers, and designers to introduce and promote our products and services.
    • Cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the architectural community.
    • Manage and update accounts and contacts in Salesforce CRM to track engagement and ensure follow-ups.
  3. Driving Specification:
    • Collaborate with architects and designers to drive specifications of our clients products in their upcoming projects.
    • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the specification process to ensure our clients products are selected for inclusion.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, answering technical questions and assisting with design details.
  4. Sales Team Collaboration:
    • Partner with sales teams across the US to identify new business opportunities and support technical design inquiries.
    • Assist in lead qualification, provide support to close deals, and offer guidance on technical details related to design and certification.
    • Act as a resource to the sales teams, offering expert advice to help achieve business growth targets.
  5. Market Analysis and Strategy:
    • Stay informed about evolving industry trends, market developments, new building codes, and competitor activities.
    • Analyze market insights to develop strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and expanding market share.
    • Provide feedback to internal teams on product development and market needs to stay competitive in the building materials industry.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales, architectural specification, or a related role within the building materials or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of architectural processes, project specifications, and product certifications.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and CRM software, especially Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel across the US to attend events and meet clients.
  • AIA-accredited course presentation experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, construction management, or a related field preferred.
