Salary: $70,000k+ uncapped commissions

Overview

Our client, a leading full-service contract furniture dealership, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their team. This role acts as the key liaison between the client, internal teams, and suppliers—ensuring smooth communication, coordinated project execution, and exceptional service delivery.

A major focus of this position is managing and growing a high-value account. The successful candidate will provide proactive communication, maintain established client standards, and ensure every project is delivered on schedule, within scope, and to the highest level of accuracy. This includes coordinating internal resources, overseeing installations, conducting site visits, and resolving issues in real time.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in business, project management, interior design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in account management or project coordination within the design, construction, or contract furniture industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple, deadline-driven projects.
  • Strong understanding of project documentation, schedules, and site processes.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to attend site visits and client meetings.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel to the USA as required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client(s) throughout all phases of project execution, managing both day-to-day requests and complex project requirements.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, inventories, and coordination plans with clients, designers, trades, and installation partners.
  • Lead internal and external coordination meetings, ensuring clear direction, documented action items, and follow-through.
  • Partner with the Design Team to maintain and implement client standards packages.
  • Communicate effectively with internal support teams, providing updates, direction, and project clarity.
  • Maintain accurate project trackers, monitoring deadlines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate external installation partners and ensure they are equipped with accurate information and resources.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, site conditions, and orders to identify risks or discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges quickly and professionally.
  • Conduct site walk-throughs and remain available after hours as needed to support installation teams and maintain project timelines.
  • Document post-installation walk-throughs, track deficiencies, create action plans, and follow items to closure.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinator to expedite resolutions and provide timely client updates.
  • Support tender responses, proposals, and related written documentation.
  • Represent the organization professionally in client meetings, presentations, and showroom tours.

  • Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities; able to oversee multiple concurrent project streams.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong client-facing professionalism.
  • Skilled at virtual and in-person collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks and prevent errors.
  • Proactive problem solver capable of making quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, trades, installers, and team members.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and design documentation; familiarity with AutoCAD and Spec5 is an asset.
  • Highly organized, with strong documentation, follow-up, and tracking skills.
  • Flexible and responsive to evolving project demands, including occasional after-hours availability.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence leading meetings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative.
