This position is focused on <strong>ability and desire<\/strong> to support architectural designers by being <strong>passionate, precise, and efficient<\/strong> at producing <strong>construction-ready documentation<\/strong>\u2014including permit sets and coordination drawings.<\/p>\n<p> You will work closely with <strong>architectural designers<\/strong>, and coordinate seamlessly with <strong>interior design and landscaping leads<\/strong>, ensuring drawings are buildable, complete, and aligned across disciplines. You&#8217;ll also liaise directly with <strong>contractors<\/strong> during documentation and construction, helping resolve questions quickly and keeping projects moving forward.<\/p>\n<p> We&#8217;re looking for someone who is organized, detail-driven, and genuinely enjoys the process of turning design intent into real-world outcomes\u2014on time, accurately, and with high-quality results.<\/p>\n<p> Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Production &amp; Drawing Excellence <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce and maintain <strong>high-quality construction drawings<\/strong>, including <strong>permit sets<\/strong> and issuance packages.<\/li>\n<li>Convert design intent into <strong>accurate, complete documentation<\/strong> that supports construction and reduces RFIs.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain consistency, clarity, and drafting standards across all drawing sets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Designer Support  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with architectural designers to implement revisions efficiently and correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Support the design team by ensuring technical details, drawing completeness, and documentation workflow are managed with care and speed.<\/li>\n<li>Apply strong construction understanding to recommend the most buildable, logical documentation approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Contractor &amp; Site Liaison <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with contractors to support construction documentation needs.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with interpretation of drawings, respond to technical questions, and help coordinate change items when required.<\/li>\n<li>Support timely responses to field feedback to keep projects on schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Coordination with Interiors &amp; Landscapes <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate drawing requirements with <strong>interior design<\/strong> and <strong>landscape<\/strong> project leads.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure openings, finishes coordination, elevations\/sections, and interface details are clearly documented.<\/li>\n<li>Support a seamless, cohesive integration of architecture, interior elements, and site design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Documentation Quality Control <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform thorough checks for compliance, completeness, and drafting accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure documentation aligns with applicable <strong>codes, standards, and drawing requirements<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Uphold quality and consistency across sets from first submission through final issuance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Qualifications <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma\/degree in <strong>Technologie de l'architecture<\/strong> or equivalent training.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience producing <strong>construction drawings and permit sets<\/strong> for <strong>custom residential projects<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>10+ years working on residential building systems and documentation requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting architectural designers on large-scale custom homes\/cottages (including projects up to ~20,000sf is an asset).<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with architectural documentation tools, including <strong>Revit and AutoCAD.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Strong drafting, coordination, and revision-tracking skills with a detail-first mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills, with a practical, solution-oriented approach for contractor liaison.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, workload, and shifting priorities while maintaining quality.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with sustainable building principles and\/or green building requirements is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Benefits <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work options.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.<\/li>\n<li>A creative, collaborative work environment with a passionate team committed to quality and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>The opportunity to make a long-term impact by helping deliver exceptional custom residential projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Please note:<\/strong> This organization utilizes AI-assisted recruitment and applicant tracking technology as part of its hiring process.
