The Role<\/strong>

Our client is a well-established and highly respected general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tenant improvement, commercial, and residential projects throughout the Lower Mainland. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Project Manager to join their team and lead projects from pre-construction through to successful completion.<\/p>\n

The Right Fit<\/strong> <\/p>\n

We’re looking for an organized and proactive Chef de projet<\/strong> with experience in commercial tenant improvements who excels at managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Procore are highly valued.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

What You’ll Be Doing<\/strong> <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and preliminary construction schedules.<\/li>\n
  • Lead project start-up activities and establish project controls.<\/li>\n
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control throughout construction.<\/li>\n
  • Tender, negotiate, and administer trade contracts and purchase orders.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.<\/li>\n
  • Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and project documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate project records and document control using Procore.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare monthly progress claims, cost reports, profit projections, and client updates.<\/li>\n
  • Manage change orders, contemplated change orders, and delay claims.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and contract compliance.<\/li>\n
  • Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and trade partners.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure timely project close-out, occupancy, warranties, and post-construction follow-up.<\/li>\n
  • Promote and enforce site safety standards in accordance with WorkSafeBC requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What We’re Looking For<\/strong> <\/p>\n

      \n
    • Experience managing commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) construction projects.<\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project financial management.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.<\/li>\n
    • Experience administering contracts, change orders, and project documentation.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, consultants, and trades.<\/li>\n
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.<\/li>\n
    • A collaborative leadership style with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
