Do you enjoy transforming operations, building high-performing teams, and driving business growth while leading with influence rather than authority?<\/p>\n<p> Our client, a well-established and highly respected leader in the building materials industry, is looking for an experienced <strong>Branch Director<\/strong> to lead one of its most strategic operations in <strong>Northern California<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> This is far more than a traditional branch management position. You will oversee two locations (including a satellite branch), be responsible for more than <strong>55 employees<\/strong>, and play a critical role in shaping the future growth and operational excellence of the region.<\/p>\n<p> Working closely with the <strong>Regional Sales Manager<\/strong>, you will ensure both operational performance and commercial execution remain aligned while creating a culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>What You Will Be Responsible For<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic leadership for two distribution branches in Northern California.<\/li>\n<li>Lead, coach and develop a team of over <strong>55 employees<\/strong>, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Inside Sales Representatives<\/li>\n<li>Warehouse &amp; Operations teams<\/li>\n<li>Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Administrative staff<\/li>\n<li>Logistics personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Full operational responsibility for a business generating approximately <strong>$130M in annual revenue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Manage branch profitability, budgets and overall P&amp;L performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure operational excellence across warehousing, inventory management and logistics.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and customer experience.<\/li>\n<li>Drive inventory accuracy, cycle counts and inventory optimization.<\/li>\n<li>Champion Health &amp; Safety initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Build a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the Sales Manager to strengthen customer relationships and execute regional growth initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Support commercial initiatives aimed at increasing market share and strengthening the company&#8217;s market presence.<\/li>\n<li>Establish operational structures and processes that position the business for long-term success.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor KPIs and implement action plans to achieve operational and financial objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven leadership experience managing large distribution operations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within <strong>building materials, construction products, lumber, industrial distribution or related sectors<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Strong operational and financial acumen with significant P&amp;L responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading multi-site operations is considered a strong asset.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>A strategic thinker capable of balancing long-term vision with day-to-day execution.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent coaching, mentoring and people development skills.<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable making decisions in fast-moving, high-pressure environments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and organizational abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Customer-focused with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.<\/li>\n<li>A leader who inspires through influence, collaboration and accountability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Why This Opportunity?<\/strong> This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most significant operations within a highly respected organization.
