Working closely with Property Managers and the finance team, you&#8217;ll prepare monthly financial statements, monitor budgets, reconcile operating costs, and support annual budgeting and tenant recoveries.<br \/> This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in producing accurate financial information. Success in this position comes from strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>What You&#8217;ll be Doing:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting working papers for an assigned property portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Complete balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly journal entries and accruals.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with annual operating and capital budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare annual CAM and tax recovery reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor budget variances and provide financial analysis to Property Managers.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile bank accounts and tenant receivables.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Leasing and Property Management to ensure lease information is accurately reflected in financial reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Support year-end audit requirements and provide documentation as required.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>What You Bring to the Table:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA is considered a strong asset.<\/li>\n<li>Three or more years of accounting experience, preferably within commercial real estate or property management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing financial statements and working with multiple entities or properties.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting principles.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Yardi or another property management\/accounting system is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with operational teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>What&#8217;s in It for You:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stable, well-established organization with an impressive Alberta portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to a diverse mix of commercial asset classes.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative team with experienced leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive benefits package.<\/li>\n<li>RRSP matching program.<\/li>\n<li>Paid vacation and wellness support.<\/li>\n<li>Modern office environment with a strong team culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>If This Isn&#8217;t You, But&#8230;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This sounds like someone you know, DMC has a $500 referral award program!
