This role will focus on owning facility operations, driving operational excellence, growing revenue through proactive customer engagement, and developing a high-performing team. The General Manager s accountable for P&amp;L performance, safety and compliance, inventory and fulfillment accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service while continuously improving processes.<br \/> Key Responsibilities: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute company operational processes across receiving, inventory management, fulfillment, and shipping to ensure accuracy and efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, scrap, and damage and increase productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Take full P&amp;L ownership of the distribution center; identify opportunities to enhance profitability through smarter workflows and resource planning.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct proactive sales outreach and customer engagement to grow revenue and strengthen market presence.<\/li>\n<li>Recruit, coach, and lead warehouse, delivery, and office personnel (approx. 4 employees); foster accountability, safety, teamwork, and empowerment.<\/li>\n<li>Build strong customer relationships; act as the face of the distribution center and resolve customer concerns to ensure smooth delivery experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Use data and KPIs to measure performance and drive operational decisions aligned with business goals.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee facility safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and OSHA standards.<\/li>\n<li>Support branch staff with product knowledge and customer service best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required to meet organizational needs, including participation in the set\u2011up and opening of the distribution center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Qualifications: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse or distribution center management experience.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success managing budgets, P&amp;L statements, and logistics operations.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop teams in a fast\u2011paced, hands\u2011on environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; experience in customer\u2011facing roles.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of hand and power tools.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills; comfortable using KPIs and data to drive decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s license required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Education: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Working Conditions \/ Requirements: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Immediate start; participate in distribution center set\u2011up and opening.<\/li>\n<li>Fast\u2011paced, high\u2011volume distribution environment; non\u2011climate\u2011controlled warehouse.<\/li>\n<li>Frequent lifting (50-75 lbs.), standing, and manual labor; attention to detail and adaptability to shifting priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> What&#8217;s On Offer: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary and benefits package.<\/li>\n<li>10 days PTO in the first year and 9 paid holidays from day one.<\/li>\n<li>RRSP with automatic company contribution.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where ideas and leadership matter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> What We&#8217;re Looking For: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A natural leader with ownership mentality and pride in performance.<\/li>\n<li>A self\u2011starter who makes decisions and drives improvement.<\/li>\n<li>A problem\u2011solver and innovator who leads by example and builds strong teams and customer relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> To apply: Please contact nkittlitz@dmcrecruitment.com for a confidential discussion.<\/p>\n<p> Note: DMC Recruitment uses a CRM system that includes AI-assisted screening and summary; a human consultant makes the final decision on candidate suitability.
