The Associate Lawyer reports directly to firm leadership and works closely with support staff while independently managing a caseload and client relationships. The firm is open to lawyers with experience in residential and commercial real estate, corporate law, civil litigation, family law, or a combination of practice areas. Candidates with an existing client base are viewed as an asset, though not required.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What You’ll Be Doing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Independently manage a caseload across one or multiple practice areas
– Maintain and build strong client relationships through responsive service
– Handle legal matters with minimal supervision and strong accountability
– Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements
– Oversee files from intake through resolution or closing
– Contribute to business development and long-term practice growth
– Work collaboratively with administrative and support staff
– Maintain accurate documentation, timelines, and client communication<\/p>\n

What You Bring to the Table:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Licensed lawyer in Alberta with 3+ years of post-call experience preferred
– Experience in real estate, corporate, litigation, family law, or a combination of practice areas
– Ability to manage files independently with strong attention to detail
– Comfortable working in a self-directed environment
– Strong communication and relationship-building skills
– Professional, entrepreneurial, and client-focused mindset
– Experience building or maintaining a client base is considered an asset
– Ability to mentor or guide support staff within your workflow preferences<\/p>\n
