This is a pivotal role designed for a strategic individual who excels at business development and is passionate about the events and hospitality industry.<\/p>\n<p> While the client has a strong foundation in weddings and social gatherings, this role has a strong focus on expanding their footprint into the corporate events market. You will work directly with the General Manager to design, refine, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that elevates the brand and fills the calendar.<\/p>\n<p> Key Responsibilities <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactively identify and secure new corporate accounts, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the General Manager to create and implement sales strategies that maximize venue occupancy and revenue.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize modern sales techniques and industry networking to promote the venue as a premier destination for both corporate functions and weddings.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless transition from the initial inquiry to the day of the event.<\/li>\n<li>While standard hours are typically 9:00 AM \u2013 5:00 PM, you will be expected to maintain a flexible schedule to personally greet clients and oversee the kickoff of booked evening and weekend events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Qualifications &amp; Skills <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2\u20133 years of proven sales experience within the events or hospitality industry.<\/li>\n<li>A strong background in business development with a self-starter mentality. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze market trends and develop a roadmap for corporate growth.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and work as a team with other factions of venue staff, as well as nurture and develop client relationships. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Compensation &amp; Benefits <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary: $55,000 \u2013 $65,000 base salary (commensurate with experience), plus performance-based bonus structure tied to sales targets.<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative environment where your strategic input directly shapes the future of the venue.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive Benefits Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> If you are a results-driven sales professional ready to make an impact in the Edmonton events scene, we want to hear from you.
