Multi-family experience is a plus; commercial\/hospitality design is welcome. You&#8217;ll manage and coordinate consultants with minimal supervision and collaborate across Calgary and Victoria offices while mentoring junior staff.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>What you&#8217;ll do<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and coordinate project teams (workplans, resourcing, invoicing) to keep projects on schedule and on budget, with support from Senior Architects as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain primary client contact through the project lifecycle and lead external coordination meetings, assigning tasks to consultants to hit objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare schematic and design development concepts using a mix of tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite) and present to clients with minimal direction.<\/li>\n<li>Produce and refine construction documents, manage codes and detailing (wood frame and timber construction knowledge a plus), and support construction administration.<\/li>\n<li>Lead or contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to scope and fee.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with internal teams and external project partners, while actively supporting the studio&#8217;s design reviews, critiques, and process improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Support ongoing professional development within the studio (site visits, lectures, CE opportunities) to inspire the design team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5-8 years of relevant architectural experience; professional certification (AAA, AIBC) is an asset; LEED a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.<\/li>\n<li>Strong design sensibility with a hands-on approach to conceptual development, detailing, and practical building solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of single-family design with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset; ability to mentor junior staff.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication, client-facing skills, and the ability to adapt as projects evolve.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively across multiple offices and establish long-term client relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>What you&#8217;ll get<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A vibrant, collaborative studio environment with like-minded designers.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to high-caliber projects across multiple disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary commensurate with experience.<\/li>\n<li>Extra perks: birthday vacation day in addition to standard vacation, annual health spending account, profit-sharing opportunity, and team retreats.<\/li>\n<li>An in-office, full-time role at our Victoria studio (hybrid flexibility may be discussed).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Success metrics<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Projects delivered on goal, on scope and on schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Consistent monthly billings and effective project financial management.<\/li>\n<li>Growth in technical and management capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>High client satisfaction and repeat relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Positive contributions to studio culture and process improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Note: This is a full-time, in-office role in our Victoria studio.
