Due to their strong reputation, product quality, and increased market demand, a well-known, design-forward manufacturer of premium building products has an immediate need for an experienced Specification Sales, Territory Manager based in the Dallas OR Houston area. Our client already has a developed customer account base and a book of active projects within the region, and they are seeking an individual to further expand their market penetration throughout the Texas region.
Based in Dallas OR Houston, the Specification Sales, Territory Manager will be responsible for driving projects with Architect & Designers, Engineers and the wider Specifier community (75%), to service existing relationships, and strengthen and grow an ongoing pipeline of sales opportunities for their exclusive product range. This position will concentrate on driving presence and the volume of projects within the territory by building relationships with A&D firms/practices to promote and influence product specification and selection.
Circa. 4 - 5 nights of overnight travel will be required for appropriate territorial coverage - in-State (TX).
Main Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Develop relationships with Commercial Specifiers (Architects, Designers, Engineers, Builders/Developers) to influence and maintain product specifications.
- Promote and educate both established and prospective accounts on the capabilities and overall product information via meetings, lunch and learns, PK sessions.
- Update material libraries and showrooms with up-to-date samples and product marketing materials.
- Visit End Users when required, and promote the features and benefits of the product range to create channel demand.
- Provide professional sales and technical service/advice to customers.
- Achieve set sales targets for the direct sale of the company’s products to existing and new accounts.
- Establish/develop accounts to ensure that the company is maximizing its potential.
- Manage Forecasted Sales / Project list monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Facilitate CEU sessions with clients.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Prior experience generating commercial specifications or calling on/promoting to the A&D Specifier community.
- Able to demonstrate achievement of selling/winning/holding specifications with specifiers and end users.
- Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, strong listening, ability to problem solve, strong presentation, and organization.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to clear pre-employment screening.
