We’re looking for an experienced Estimator who thrives in a boots-on-the-ground role, leveraging tools like HeavyBid to deliver competitive, accurate bids for infrastructure projects across British Columbia.

From analyzing plans to developing innovative construction methodologies, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of heavy civil construction in BC.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scopes to create detailed quantity takeoffs.
- Build project schedules and methodologies tailored to heavy civil construction activities.
- Collaborate with teams in estimating and operations to optimize resources and ensure bid accuracy.
- Use your expertise in HeavyBid software to craft competitive proposals for complex projects.
- Visit job sites to gather insights and bring practical, field-based knowledge into your estimates.
- Understand and work with various contract models, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Provide solutions for challenges in earthworks, concrete, and remote-site operations.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating; field experience is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in estimating software, particularly HeavyBid.
- In-depth understanding of heavy civil activities, including earthworks and concrete construction.
- A technical diploma, engineering degree, or professional designations (ASTTBC or EGBC) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) with a knack for organization and detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset, eager to learn and take initiative.
