Our client, a prominent leader in metals fabrication and distribution, is seeking a talented Sales Specialist – Account Manager to join their team.
This unique role offers a chance to drive growth, deepen product knowledge, and build client relationships with the existing client base, while targeting strategic market segments to achieve a continued year-over-year market growth.
The role will generally be 75% Inside Sales with potential of 25% Outside Sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage customers through outbound calls using a solution-based approach to gain a deeper understanding of existing, dormant, and prospective clients' needs to drive revenue, profitability and overall sales growth.
- Identify high-potential customers within target market segments and develop business opportunities.
- Negotiate quotations with key prospects and customers to drive sales and profit margins.
- Collaborate with Leadership and the Sales Team to align customer needs and industry-leading product and service strategies.
- Monitor customer buying patterns and adapt approaches accordingly.
- Deliver a high touch customer service experience consistent with the company brand.
- Participate in industry trade shows, building the brand and expanding networks.
- Leverage CRM tools to manage client interactions and optimize personal productivity.
- Travel 25% of the time within assigned territory visiting existing and prospective clients as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Completed post secondary education; diploma or degree or relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge or exposure to an industrial or manufacturing industry; metal products, components or steel distribution or fabrication would be particularly advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with strong communication, analytical, and territory management skills.
- Proven track record of meeting business goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive under deadlines.
