Territory Sales Representative - Flooring

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Territory Sales Representative to join our flooring team. As the face of the company, based in Ottawa, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales initiatives throughout a large geography. Our client is an extremely reputable organization working within the flooring industry specializing in sustainable and design-oriented flooring solutions for their customers. With many years of experience in the industry and an excellent culture and environment, they deliver the best in services strategies and designs for all their customer base. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients/dealers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities by conducting market research, networking, leveraging existing contacts.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Provide feedback from the field to the marketing and product development teams to help shape future product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities. 
Qualifications: 
  • Proven experience in Outside Sales, Account Management, preferably within the flooring industry or building product sector.
  • Strong understanding of the flooring dealer network, distribution, including customer preferences and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proficiency in ideally English and French.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively across the designated territory.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
