Regional Sales Manager - Building Products - Vancouver
 
The Regional Sales Manager will direct and coordinate all field sales activities while ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
 
Essential Job Functions
 
  • Evaluate the Greater Vancouver market and develop a strategy to grow sales and market share in all segments; with the objective to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify segment gaps and establish plans to gain business in those areas.
  • Develop a program to support the architectural community and commercial business.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key customers.
  • Establish reporting processes and procedures to help evaluate effectiveness of each salesperson.
  • In conjunction with the Territory Managers, provide sales projections and develop action plans for each TM. Manage execution of plans though leadership of the TM team.
  • Provide consistent field coaching to evaluate and improve a salesperson’s performance.
  • Create individual development plans that will support their professional growth.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, and second level of support for salespeople to provide specific input on critical tasks and projects.
  • Develop and execute training programs to ensure each salesperson has the necessary product, program and sales skills.
  • Work closely with branch customer service supervisor to support field service files. This will include diving into the details of specific customer files and working them to closure.
  • Follow up on customer concerns in a timely manner and work with other departments to ensure a positive resolution.
  • Promote open, frequent and dynamic communication among team, stimulating teamwork to accomplish desired goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively and support all departments within the company.
  • Must be willing an able to occasionally travel to Toronto and other branches and locations within North America
 
Reporting
 
  • Develop an annual strategic sales plan, that is aligned with the business plan, with progress updates provided on a quarterly basis. The plan will include growth opportunities, challenges, personnel development, etc.
    • Prepare and submit periodic reports as requested management. Develop metrics that enforce team performance and high level of service to the customer Working in company office environment.
    • Flexible hours, including night and weekends (as per customer needs)
Compensation: Salary - $100,000 - $110,000/annum
