Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Low Rise Project Manager with experience in low-rise residential development, specifically in townhomes and single-family homes. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing wood frame construction projects and will report directly to the Architectural Manager while working closely with other Project Managers. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth within a highly reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of low-rise residential projects, from initiation to completion, focusing on townhomes and single-family homes.
- Manage permit applications, ensuring timely submission and approval from relevant city departments.
- Coordinate with architectural firms to develop and schedule working drawings, ensuring that all site-specific details are accurate and up to date.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the project, maintaining progress and quality.
- Occasionally visit project sites to monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate closely with other Project Managers to ensure smooth coordination across all phases of the project.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including city officials, architectural consultants, and contractors.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in low-rise residential project management, with a focus on townhomes and single-family homes.
- Proven experience with wood frame construction is essential; builder experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with city permitting processes and experience scheduling permit applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architectural teams and coordinate working drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot site-specific issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- On-site experience is a plus, with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
