ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager (PM) works with the Branch Lead to manage projects at the local level, including coordinating client sites with the manufacturer's installation teams. PM is the central point of contact and ensures projects are completed on-time and on-budget to clients' satisfaction.
The PM will provide on-site project management for installation teams, coordinating activities with clients, design consultants, factories, and authorities having jurisdiction. PM to act as the primary point of contact for projects, providing weekly and monthly progress reports, identifying potential issues, and offering solutions. This role will collaborate with clients to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives during preconstruction and construction, and lead value engineering efforts while proposing alternative solutions with stakeholders. PM will attend bid walk-throughs with the Branch Lead as needed to gather information for the bidding process. PM will review bid documents and specifications, and make recommendations for inclusions and exclusions.
The PM will also create and maintain project schedules using manufacturer's tools, preview and prepare project proposals, plans, and contracts, and estimate installation based on bid specifications with support from the manufacturer. Pm will coordinate project teams to ensure timely submittals, RFIs, and plan revisions, and create accurate change orders and punch item orders. PM will oversee procurement schedules and provide takeoffs to ensure timely delivery of materials, ensuring quality standards are met. PM will manage the design approval process with stakeholders, develop relationships with local installation teams and vendors, and protect and maximize project profitability.
WHAT YOU BRING
You will bring integrity, credibility, a strong sense of responsibility and accountability, decisiveness, initiative, and excellent self-management and collaboration skills. You will also bring 5+ years of experience in construction project management; excellent multitasking, time management, and client and vendor negotiation skills. You possess strong client-facing skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively on a technical and professional level with project stakeholders. You are proficient in preparing and interpreting flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans, and have a solid understanding of architectural and structural plans, local building code, bylaws, Uniform Building Code (UBC), and approval processes. You are experienced with project management software like Basecamp, QuickBase, Sage, Builder Trend; working knowledge of Revit, and MS Office Suite. I am adaptable and embrace new technologies to improve the design and construction process, utilizing multiple platforms for accurate and efficient communication with team members, stakeholders, and suppliers. PMP, CMT, or other project management certifications are a plus.
