Growing up on a dairy farm in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Susan loves Canadian weather with its hot stormy summers, gorgeous falls of red, orange and yellows and frosty winters pouring sticky maple syrup over pristine snow.
As an older child in a family of 8, working on the farm was hard, never-ending and as her dad would say, ‘It builds character’. Every day started and ended with milking cows and in between - planting or harvesting crops, maple sugar making, running equipment or working in the community.
Susan loves to say, “Moving away and working the crazy hours required to rise in the professional world in downtown Toronto felt like being on vacation”.
After 13 years, Susan moved away from the big city to Edmonton, Alberta, enrolled in International Business courses and joined an international recruiting firm. This was the beginning of an amazing journey into the world of manufacturing, distribution, service and everything in between. One of Canada’s fastest growing Supply & Service companies is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to grow B2B existing accounts and drive new business. This company sells across multiple industries including commercial, industrial, hospitality, institutional, and government.
With a 30+ year long history, this company provides full training and support and has built a recession proof business that continues to expand.
Responsibilities:
- Grow sales through managing and growing existing accounts and developing new business while fostering long-term relationships with clients
- Establish monthly and annual sales goals and work with the branch to achieve targets
- Develop and implement strategies to engage new and existing customers across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, institutional, hospitality and specialty contractors
- Service orders, determine customer needs, upsell, promote monthly promotions, and ensure product availability
- Following up leads, quotes, RFP’s, and communicating with customers; extensive use of CRM to track communication and activity
- Daily communication with branch team to ensure high customer satisfaction
- On-going awareness of related new products and services, competitor activities, and market trends; engaging with internal departments to ensure products, services and offerings as well as pricing, and profits remain competitive and meeting customer demands
- Participate as a team member to ensure success of branch operations
- Participate in local industry events and tradeshows including travel to US.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years B2B sales experience
- Goal driven, ambitious and proven track record of success
- Strong computer skills and CRM experience
- Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mind set; ability to research and identify opportunities, negotiate and close sales
- Must have a vehicle and clean driving record
On target earnings $140K-160K ($70K-$78K base salary + bonus + UNCAPPED commissions) + car allowance + gas card, excellent benefits, RRSP matching, growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement.
