Position Overview:
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing trade show events and customer-facing marketing initiatives. This role requires a solid understanding of B2B sales channels and the ability to develop strategies that effectively engage and convert target audiences within the building materials industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and capable of delivering impactful experiences that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Show Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows and industry events. Responsibilities include booth design, logistics, vendor management, and on-site event management to ensure successful participation and brand representation.
- Customer Engagement: Develop and implement customer-facing marketing strategies that align with the company’s B2B sales objectives. Create compelling marketing materials and presentations tailored to different customer segments.
- B2B Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted campaigns that drive lead generation and conversion. Provide marketing support for B2B sales efforts, including the creation of sales collateral, promotional materials, and case studies.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Use insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance the company’s presence in the building materials market.
- Digital Marketing Integration: Incorporate digital marketing tactics into trade show and B2B marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media promotion, and online content that supports event participation and sales initiatives.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the marketing budget for trade shows and related activities. Ensure cost-effective use of resources while maximizing the impact of marketing initiatives.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of trade shows and marketing campaigns. Provide regular reports on key metrics, including ROI, lead generation, and customer engagement, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and corporate communications, to ensure alignment of marketing activities with overall business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on trade shows and B2B sales channels, preferably within the building materials industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with customers and industry professionals effectively.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and CRM systems.
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented approach.
