Position Summary:
The Marketing/Advertising Manager will lead the Marketing/Advertising Department, focusing on developing strong, direct relationships with store owners and managers. The Marketing Manager will provide hands-on support, create innovative content, and implement strategies to drive traffic and enhance store engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, action-oriented individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take on a variety of tasks—from packing orders to creating fresh marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture relationships with store owners and managers through direct communication, including phone calls and in-person visits. Troubleshoot issues, provide coaching, and offer tailored support to stores. Actively gather and respond to feedback, going beyond traditional surveys to understand store needs.
- Monitor and manage advertising costs to ensure optimal return on investment (ROI) for each advertising method.
- Create innovative and engaging content, thinking outside the box beyond traditional marketing practices.
- Review, evaluate, and enhance current advertising programs to maximize their impact.
- Propose and implement new advertising initiatives with clear success metrics.
- Identify and seize opportunities to drive traffic conversions to stores via the corporate website.
- Plan and schedule workloads to meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with external consultants for specialized marketing campaigns.
- Provide monthly reports to Senior Management.
- Actively participate in and contribute to internal training and development initiatives.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Marketing or a related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google office systems.
- Knowledge of applicable advertising laws and regulations.
- At least 5 years of experience in retail.
- Experience in the Building Materials sector is an asset.
- Must be a permanent resident of Canada with the ability to travel to the USA.
Salary Band - 120,000 to 150,000 per year + Benefits + 3 Weeks Vacation + Bonus
