ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a respected architecture and design firm with a strong portfolio of commercial, retail, and light industrial projects across the GTA. Known for their collaborative culture, technical excellence, and commitment to employee growth, they offer an environment where talented professionals can take ownership of projects and advance their careers.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Job Captain/Team Lead to join their Toronto team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and working closely with architects, consultants, and clients from design through construction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead the production and coordination of construction documents and permit packages.
Manage projects through various phases, from design development to construction.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code requirements and municipal regulations.
Mentor junior technologists and contribute to overall project success.
Participate in site reviews and contract administration activities as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
7+ years of experience within a Canadian architecture or engineering consulting environment.
Strong experience delivering commercial, retail, and/or light industrial projects.
Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
Experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, or Illustrator is considered an asset.
