JOB CAPTAIN/PRODUCTION LEAD

Compensation: $90 - 110K + Bonus

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a highly respected architecture and design firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering impactful institutional, educational, and public-sector projects throughout Ontario. Their work helps shape communities, creating spaces that support learning, collaboration, and growth.
With a strong pipeline of projects and a collaborative team environment, they are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist / Job Captain to join their Toronto office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who is passionate about complex, meaningful projects and enjoys taking a leadership role throughout the project lifecycle.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead the development and coordination of construction documents and permit packages.
Work closely with architects, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Coordinate technical design solutions and ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Support project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior technologists and team members.
Participate in consultant coordination meetings, site reviews, and contract administration activities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience within a Canadian architectural or engineering consulting environment.
Experience working on institutional, educational, public-sector, healthcare, or community-based projects.
Strong understanding of building systems, technical detailing, and construction documentation.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and municipal approval processes.
Strong communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
