INTERN ARCHITECT

Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: $50-70K + Bonus

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Architect to join our close-knit Edmonton studio and contribute to a range of engaging projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will support the design and development of architectural projects from early concept through to construction. Working closely with the principal architect and a small project team, you will take part in producing detailed drawings, coordinating with consultants, and assisting with permitting and approvals.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for thoughtful, context-driven design, a solid technical foundation, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience with an architectural firm in Alberta
• Registered with the AAA as an Intern Architect or eligible for registration
• Completion of an accredited architecture program
• Proficiency in developing design and construction documents independently
• Experience with building types such as commercial, multi-residential, or civic/community projects is an asset
• Familiarity with the Alberta Building Code (Part 3) and local building practices
• Proficiency in Revit is essential; AutoCAD experience is an asset
• Awareness of sustainable design principles
• Strong time-management skills, able to contribute to multiple small-to-mid-scale projects
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills in English
