Key Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting top talent.
- Develop job descriptions and manage job postings to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage offer negotiations, employment contracts, and onboarding processes.
- Partner with department leaders to understand hiring needs and workforce planning.
- Develop, manage, and analyze compensation bands to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership to review and adjust salary structures as needed.
- Oversee the administration of benefits, compensation, and payroll coordination.
- Provide salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, and role adjustments.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and manage HR documentation.
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support business objectives.
- Manage terminations, exit interviews, and offboarding processes.
- Support leadership in performance management, coaching, and employee development.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the Lumber & Building Materials (LBM) distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage recruitment, employee relations, compensation structures, and HR generalist duties.
- Experience with salary benchmarking and compensation band development.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
