Annie is an experienced Recruiter with a proven track record of success within the Architecture, Design, and Construction industry. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.Annie also has 14 years of experience in Vancouver, BC as a Commercial Interior Designer, specializing in Workplace and Financial Institutions. With Annie’s experience and well-developed network of industry professionals in both Commercial and Residential sectors, she not only has the technical design knowledge, hands-on project experience, she also has the deep-rooted connections within the market needed to develop exceptional client and candidate relationships.Annie puts her design expertise and industry network to use on a variety of search engagements in the Architecture and Design industry. She has successfully placed positions within both small and large architecture and design firms, including Junior - Senior Interior Designers and Architects as well as Project Coordinators and Project Manager that have established a strong retention rate with the Clients she has placed with.Annie works personally and professionally with both her clients and candidates, creating long-term relationships with key players in the Architecture & Design industries. She is an active member in the Architecture & Design community and regularly attends industry networking events. Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission. Compensation and commission rates are based on experience.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our Client is a leading national lighting supplier with four offices and flagship showrooms across Canada. Showcasing some of the most unique and iconic lighting collections in the world.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a Lighting Sales and Leadership Professional in GTA, who is passionate about lighting, with strong technical knowledge and design savviness as our Client is known for representing the world’s most unique and iconic decorative lighting collections. This candidate should have approx. 10 years of sales experience plus leadership experience. This individual has experience working with architects, landscape architects, engineers, and other design professionals and has the ability to romanticize architectural lighting using technical language. The ideal candidate can manage their own accounts, including our Client’s top 10 clients in Toronto and co-manage a team of Account Executives and Inside Sales Representatives with the Team Lead. Ideally, this person comes with their own GTA and Eastern Canada client network and is able to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Open to candidates within elsewhere in Canada, who are willing to relocate to the Greater Toronto Area. 

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals within the Eastern region including Ontario, Quebec, and The Maritimes. Previous experience in these provinces is a plus.
  • Lead GTA Team Lead and co-manage a team of Account Executives and Inside Sales Representatives with the Team Lead to provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success.
  • Provide technical lighting knowledge to Account Executives and operations staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, and industry stakeholders
  • Specify core brands with the architect and design community to achieve design forward lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service and purchasing to align strategies and drive business growth
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to clients and senior management.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Open and develop new territories in Ontario, Quebec, and The Maritimes.  
  • Travel within the region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
WHAT YOU BRING 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Architecture or Engineering. MBA is an asset
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in B2B sales, with approx. 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the lighting industry or related sector
  • Strong understanding of lighting products, technologies, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive sales growth
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Google suite an asset
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed
