We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead the Victoria, B.C. branch of our Building Materials Distribution company. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of branch operations, both commercial and residential.
The ideal candidate will have previous branch management experience within the building materials industry, a strong understanding of the contractor market. The successful candidate must be able to maximize performance and take advantage of the upside for growth and expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all branch operations, including inventory management, delivery, sales, and customer service
- Manage the order desk, warehouse, trucks, and drivers, and outside salespeople
- Manage P&L and report to senior management
- Manage staffing and hire top talent to support growth and success
- Understand the contractor market and develop relationships with contractors.
Requirements
- Previous branch management experience within the building materials industry
- Proven success in managing salespeople and sales processes
- Strong understanding of the contractor market and how to support and to service contractor relationships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage inventory, delivery, and customer service
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
