We're seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer with a strong track record in hospitality design (restaurants & hotels) and standout work in single-family residential projects. Multi-family experience is an asset. You'll lead and coordinate consultants on complex projects with minimal supervision, collaborate across offices, and mentor junior designers.

What you'll do
  • Lead large-scale, complex interior design projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Establish and maintain primary client contacts, manage external coordination, and assign tasks to project partners to hit objectives.
  • Oversee construction documents and technical detail work, including drawings standards and compliance with building codes.
  • Mentor and develop studio team members; champion continuing education, site visits, lectures, and design critiques.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of innovative processes, technologies, and best practices to position the team as an industry leader.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise in at least one practice sector while staying current on trends and market shifts.
  • Manage project scope and fees, track costs, and ensure monthly billings for self and project teams.
  • Source materials and products with strong sourcing acumen.
What we're looking for
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience; NCIDQ certification considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong design sensibilities with a passion for hospitality and residential interiors; capable of leading and inspiring teams.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of Building Codes and materials sourcing; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and outcomes.
What you'll get
  • A vibrant, collaborative studio environment with like-minded creative thinkers.
  • Exposure to high-caliber design projects across multiple disciplines.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Perks: birthday vacation day in addition to standard vacation, annual health spending account, profit sharing, and team retreats.
  • A full-time role in our Victoria studio with opportunities for cross-office collaboration.
Success metrics
  • Projects delivered on time, on budget, and to scope.
  • Strong client satisfaction and ongoing relationships.
  • Team development and growth within the studio.
  • Consistent, transparent project billing and cost management.
